Translation
Do you need a translation of a report, article, press release or brochure? As a Dutch translator, I will be happy to translate all your texts written in French, English or Spanish into Dutch (Belgian). For other language combinations, I can refer you to other, more qualified members of my wide-ranging network.
Interpreting
In the field of interpreting, I offer professional-grade services with totally accurate transfer of meaning to ensure smooth communication between French and Dutch. Thanks to my in-depth language skills, I have no problem switching from one to the other. You can be sure that not only will the message be conveyed correctly, but communication will flow effectively.
Revision
Detailed revision of texts is another service I offer. A keen eye for detail is one of my strengths. As well as identifying and correcting spelling, grammatical or typographical mistakes, I try to improve the text as a whole by strengthening its structure, clarity and coherence. I also take care to give the text the appropriate tone for the target audience.

Welcome to my website! My name is Petra De Breuker, and I describe myself as a young language virtuoso passionate about culture. In my role as your versatile language partner, it's my pleasure to guide you through the power and beauty of words and communication. As well as Dutch, my first language, I am fluent in French, English and Spanish, and familiar with all their nuances and subtleties. As an experienced translator and interpreter, my core business involves building bridges between your world and theirs.
Following my BA in applied linguistics at VLEKHO (which became HUB and is now KU Leuven), I completed a master's in interpreting and a postgraduate diploma in conference interpreting. Since then, I have gained ten years' experience in the world of translation and interpreting with several employers, supplementing this with freelance work. Due to my steadily increasing client base and volume of work, I recently decided to concentrate exclusively on my freelance business.

My experience has widened my linguistic knowledge in a huge variety of fields, including finance, property, marketing and certification, not forgetting lifestyle. New projects in the air
My professional journey will soon be growing richer as I add another string to my bow: online language teaching. Because my passion for languages goes well beyond translation. I want to help others to understand the beauty of Dutch, to practise it confidently and to speak it fluently. For me, it's a way of making a difference.
